Re: Best use of Tax Payer money?
OK, if fraud is such a concern, how do the folks that put on competitions get around it? I've heard a few different rules about testing for rigor, and body temps, and different things, so why couldn't similar measures be taken to keep people a little more honest? I've never entered a contest, but I ...

Burbot Bash
I want to see and hear about the Burbot Bash. What have you caught, what were you using, and where were you at (round about). I went last year and caught a few. Didn't have the time off this year to go so I wanted to hear about it. Thanks!

Best use of Tax Payer money?
I have another thought for everyone. The other day, (Sunday) while I was at work, I had the opportunity to witness a type of coyote population control that I haven't seen before. I have heard of it being done, but this was my first actual sighting. I witnessed a helicopter flying low and slow and sh...

Rumor or Fact?
OK, sorry to open this can again, but I had a conversation with a friend today about photo evidence of wolves here in UT, more specific, Central Manti's, Emery/SanPete counties. I called BS, but he was serious about it. He claimed that a local man came into his store and said he saw what he thought ...

Re: coyote hunting question
[quote="Coyote LJ"]Too many unknown variables to give a meaningful reply. They might be telling you you are busted, they might be telling you they are pissed they might be telling you that they aren't crossing a territorial line they might be saying something else all together. Current conditions li...

Re: Best Coyote Hunting?
I travel out that way for work occasionally, and I have always thought that Rabbit Valley looked like a good spot. IMO, an of the area west of Junction to the state line looks good.

Re: help
Don't skyline yourself as you approach or leave your stands. Use washes, ditches, ravines, gullies, whatever low spots you can to access a stand. Coyotes do the same, for the same reason. When you get setup, be absolutely still. Coyotes have good eyes, they'll pick up the sun reflection off your gun...

Re: Looking for coyote partner
I don't think it sounds strange at all. I'm uber picky about who I hunt with as well. Wish I was closer to Reno also.

Re: yote hunting
I don't think it's a slow year. I've seen more coyotes in more places this year than I have in a long time. I've been out a few times and have had quite a few stands blown by people. People are everywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if your honey hole is being hunted by others. I've even tried private ...
