Re: Filson Tin Cloth Packer Coat

I looked into it some more. According to the Filson website, the coats are "generously sized", and a Large is what you would get if you wore a size 44 coat. I wear a size 44 suit coat. As I mentioned, all of my other Filson coats are Large, so I can say with certainty that this coat is, in fact, a l...

Re: 338-378

Your first post on the forum, and you use it criticize another member? Ever think that maybe he bought the rifle to use on a wide variety of game from whitetail to moose or grizzly? Maybe he bought it because it is rather flat shooting with good down range ballistics for the long shots? I know this ...

Re: Colorado Permit Refund

You can get a refund if you can't use the tag as long as you do it prior to the opening of the season for which the tag is valid for.

*Sold*Filson Tin Cloth Packer Coat

Up for grabs is a Filson Tin Cloth Packer Coat in excellent condition. I just don't wear it anymore. I can't find any size tags on it, but I am 99% sure it is a size Large, Regular since that is what my other Filson coats are. It has been treated with Filson Oil Finish Wax for added water repellency...

Re: New to the forum, archery elk in CO questions

Welcome, from another Penn Stater! Wildlife and Fisheries Science '03 here. Most of Colorado has great opportunity hunts for elk, with only a handful of units designated as trophy units, which will take at least a few year's worth of preference points. You can buy an over the counter archery tag, wh...

Re: Cops poach Elk

While I don't condone what these so called officers of the law did, the bunny hugger Boulderites are blowing this out of proportion. It is constantly on the news. They have held candle light vigils for the animal...ridiculous! I hope those involved lose their jobs, and are prosecuted to the full ext...

Re: Colorado unit 74 archery?

I live in the La Plata mountains in 74. No deer here, look somewhere else! lol But on a more serious note, there is a fair amount of good high country hunting around here, much of it fairly accessible. The area sees average hunting pressure. This last fall was a hard year for hunting, as was the cas...

Re: Scared to go hunting again.

Where in Colorado? A lot of the western part of the state is over 9k feet. I would have snapped some pictures of those tracks. Maybe a Chubacabra? When I am solo, my senses seems to be enhanced 10X, I've heard and seen strange things that rattle me, but after thinking things over, most of the time, ...
