Scope Recommendation

Post by sawsman » Wed Apr 15, 2009 6:33 pm

I purchased a new 30-06 recently and am trying to decide on a new scope for it. Budget is $700 to $900 dollars...

Too many darn choices out there. I would be interested in hearing your opinions and experiences. I have pretty much decided on something in the 3 X 9 X 40 range.

Thanks.

My personal favorite is the VXIII 3.5x10x40 but, it is only $500.00.

I agree. For the money, you can't go wrong with Leupold. They have the best warranty and service in the business and the scopes are solid. I have several 3X9 by 40's and one 4.5X14 with a 42 mm objective. All are great and have always held up well.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up spending a little extra and picked up a Swarovski American in 3 X 10 X 42. I too have a couple of Luepolds, one is a VXII and the other is a VXIII. These are fine scopes but the Swaro is simply amazing!
