I have used a T/C 2.5 x 7 pistol scope, with a lite reticle for about 10 years and LOVE it! It has been on a 12" Contender in .45-70 and now is on my .375JDJ barrel. It has been great and the lite crasshairs makes it a lot easier to hunt the early morning and the late evening times.

After I got my VX-L nothing else seems good enough. Spendy, but worth every penny!

Leupold 6X42MM Matte w/Multi-coat 4 lens coating
Leupold Vari-XIII 2.5-8x36MM Matte or same scope in the newer VXII or VXIII
Both scopes are rugged and reliable.

Recently purchased a Burris. Looks like a great scope. Good sharp lenses, adequate eye relief and back by a good warranty.
