Blood trail help
Blood trail help
My son made a 100 yard shot tonight with a muzzleloader after the shot the deer hunched up and stood there and swayed for 30 seconds or so and then ran off.. We tracked the blood trail for 200 yards and then lost the trail.. The original spot where he was shot was a fist size puddle of bright red blood and it was thick gooey.. Any suggestions or thoughts of maybe where it was hit?

Re: Blood trail help
Great news, where was the hit?
Re: Blood trail help
It was a low shot barely got the heart. We let him sit over night and found him this morning... Another hunter up there said a spray bottle with hydrogen peroxide is the best way to find a small blood trail cause it fizzes up..

Pictures man.
