Agree with you on this one! Going off their faces, body size and antlers.....I'm no pro yet though!
Re: Aging Deer (pic) You be the Judge!
The first two are young. The one of the right has a wide roman nose, bigger head, thicker horns, a bigger neck (even in the summer when a lot of bucks look like they have leprosy), good sized body, getting a swayed back and he's a little behind the others in the photo which should make him look smaller. Too bad he doesn't have been genetics for horns.
Look at the other two deer's faces, young bucks.

I am with Ridge 100% on that. I was going to post the same years but he beat me to it. Face and belly tell you all you need to on those bucks

the first buck I would say looks like most deer I hunt at around 2.5 years old.
next buck is a year and a half with good genetics because the body looks about the same as most 2 point bucks.
4 plus big blocky head
I don't believe like most that deer grow a point a year
spike
2 pt
3 pt
4 pt
I see plenty of small bodied 2 point 3 point bucks and then the next year there are plenty of bucks18-22 inch 4 points. I hardly ever see a spike
