so got a sweet new knife!(piranta z pro knife- i believe havalon is who makes these) my uncle brought these to my attention. he did a new zealand stag hunt. and the outfitters used this knife(one blade) to quarter up a whole stag. and no sharpening needed. he since then bought this knife and we use it to ear mark our calves. we have used it for well over a hundred ears . the blades are replaceable they are similar to a razor blade(last a lot longer than razors) when they dulll throw em out and put a new one on .they come with a pak of 12 blades and you can purchase more. these work better than any knife we have used and the blades are tough! they look kinda cheap but dont let it fool you! alot of taxidermists use the knives as well. i cant wait to try mine out on some deer and other game.they are a couple different models by the way so look around. i recomend buying the sheath for it so you can store your extra blades in it .anyway they cost roughly 25-30 dollars depending on what site you buy from the cheapest i found was this one.
