Cisco Disco

Post by 79Ford » Wed Jan 21, 2009 6:30 pm

Anyone on here take part in this party at Bear Lake every year? I have been thinking about going this year to see what it is like, and to get out of some of this smoggy crap we call air......

It's just a little "get together" at bear lake. Apparently the cisco only spawn for about a week and come right up into the shallows making it easy to catch them with dip nets. I guess they call it the "cisco disco" because of all the "dancing" people do on shore to stay warm in the cold weather. Some folks bring stoves and cook food right there on the beach for tips. I was going to check it out this past weekend but wasnt feeling well and didn't make it. Maybe next year.

Hah. Good stuff, I like weird stuff like that (not that the spawning is weird, but the whole little get together and everything... It's fun to try out different stuff like that). Well, Someone needs to go and take some pics next time. Sounds interesting
