Nice Steelhead hen

Post by AGCHAWK » Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:27 am

My brother caught this beautiful Steelhead hen yesterday at the confluence of the Snake River and Clearwater River. It tipped the scale at just under 20 lbs.

sneekee, I failed to ask him what he was using. However, I am pretty certain he was using shrimp.

hunting fool. This time of year we use drifting bobbers from the boat with about 20 ft of leader and shrimp. Works GREAT!

Shortly we'll head upriver toward the upper Snake River and Grande Ronde River and switch tactics.

Good news is I retire in about 8 months so I'll get my "day in the sun" soon!
