2009 Rifle goat hunt pics

Post by tikkaman » Wed Oct 07, 2009 8:43 pm

After wathcing many hunters chase antelpoe out in eastern colorado over the weekend we decided to try mid-week. It turned out awesome, it was our first hunt together since we got married over a year and half ago. Not bad for my first buck, 12" at the curl! He was a very old herd buck, I think on the decline. He weighed almost 90 lbs field dressed, very big body. Now its onto Deer and Elk. Hope to post more pics this year! (SO glad for photoshop, my wife really cleaned up the blood around his mouth in the pic, trying to keep it clean)
Praise the Lord!

Nice job. Great looking buck and doe. Do you have a side shot of him so we can see the prongs?

Great job on your hunt. You will always remember this one. Very nice and tell Nae good job too. Are you going to European mount it or shoulder? Jessica's first doe had horns too, pretty neat.
