Does anyone know of a good place to scout in Unit 21 in Colorado for a decent buck? Any advice would be great, thank you.

That area borders the books. When we were scouting for Elk hunting in UT we drove the roads on the border getting to and from areas and there were bucks all over the place. We didn't see anything real big but there were a few decent 140 to 150 type bucks.

Most of the unit offers good deer hunting, it is high desert winter range.

Archery season they will still be high along Douglas Pass. Glass the steep ravines with Doug Fir in them. Northern facing shady spots. There will be tons of OTC elk hunters to contend with. You may want to check out the Cathedral Bluffs too. Good luck.
