First deer ever!!! whitetail (pics)

Post by jersey boy » Tue Dec 04, 2007 5:15 pm

This is the first deer i've ever shoten ever. I shot it with my new PSE Nova. I've been hunting ever since i was 12 years old and i've always wanted a deer. Well this year i went out everyday after school and every saturday that i could. We had off on a thursday and friday for teacher conventions. On thursday i was out from 6-10:37.lol Because thats when i shot my first deer a nice little 8 pointer. By the way that morning it was 22 degrees all morning. But he came running in at 22 yards away i called him in with the EZ-WHEEZE. But i took the shot a clean shot right through a heart shot. he went 20 yards and dropped i was shaking so much i was afraid i was gonna fall out of the tree. But I was so happy i could've cried.
I worked so hard and finally got one. He's not a monster but hes a good first deer if u ask me. He's an 8 pointer with a 14" inside spread. But now im moving out to Veyo,Utah to hunt mulies and elk. thats why i joined this site. So if anyone has any helpful tips or things i should look out for help me out. Thanks

jersey boy, welcome to the site and CONGRATS on your first buck!

Man, the size of the buck doesn't matter...if it's a trophy to you then it's a trophy! Especially your first!
