Re: Faces caught on my trail cam in 2009
9ER, I had 2 cameras. 1 in the open and 1 hidden. Both were screwed to the tree and cable locked. Never noticed any sign of anyone trying to take them. The bear was able to mess it up pretty good, he was able to pull one off the tree. Here is the before and after.

Great post! You're right, with all of the stolen cameras that get posted on these sites its good to see there are still some respectful hunters out there!

Either that or pot planters themselves.9er wrote:Buckmaster wrote:It’s a little over a mile in from the road, with no trails heads. Welcome to the Wasatch front Extended it pulls a TON of hunters! I think the three guys in the 4 picture are Fed's looking for pot plantations (none of them are packing a bow and its 2 weeks into the archery season).
I did get a lot of pictures of Elk,Bear and Mt. Lions.
i was wonderin what was up in pic#4 as well

Think you might be right. Both of the guys on the right look like they have "creds" in their back left pocket. Looks like they are paying attention to the sign but I bet feds hunt too.Buckmaster wrote:It’s a little over a mile in from the road, with no trails heads. Buckmaster,
That is a beast there, and nice camera too; it can take pictures in the future. Maybe you can get there and move it before it happens. I think you just need a flux capacitor.

That is a good sized bear, and cool to see a bear on your camera. I just screwed my trail camera inside a bear box with 7... yes 7 screws with washers to a big pine tree. And then added a cable and lock, and I am still uneasy about leaving my camera in the woods. That thing is clear in there around 2 miles and over 1000 feet up. Someone would have to be really hardcore to steal it this time, but you never know. You almost feel violated to have something stolen like that.

i built some fairly light weight boxes for my cams. not real pretty butt some one is gonna either need a chainsaw or bolt cutters to cut the chain or lock to get it off the tree. if they are willing to pack bolot cutters or a chainsaw back in there they can have it i guess. i figure if they want it bad enough they wil get it no matter what, but someone cant just walk up and take mine without a little fight
