Got a Doe This Morning
I got a doe tag for my buddy's property and only had 2 days to get er' done. This morning we only saw deer in the wrong property. We were going to head back when we saw this one bedded on the hill. She got ready to take off and I hit her behind the shoulder a ways, she was quartering away. She dropped like a TOS. It broke off a rib on the way in, and exited right behind the shoulder, missing the ribs on the other side. It was a bit high, just inches below her spine. Took her lungs out and turned her into jelly. Load was a Nosler 115 Ballistic Tip, 44 grains W760 out of my 25 WSSM @ around 100 yards. Pretty dang fun!

Congrats! I love me some quarter bore too. Cut my teeth on a limited run 1972 Ruger 77 in 257 Roberts years ago. Man I wish I had it now.
