if your looking for something that is very small but still has a good zoom and quality. i would suggest the panasonic pv-gs35. it has a 30X optical zoom. i have one and have been very pleased with it and the quality. it is also very small and nice for carrying around.

here is my picture. the deer in the middle is actualy a buck but just has clumps at the base. the buck on the right has a massive left base. sorry the quality is a little low. i pulled it off the video camera.
