I have the REI Half Dome tent and its been great. It is a little on the heavy side at 5 pounds but It keeps two people comfortable and dry. Also REI stands by their products. Northface makes great sleeping bags. I have the snowshoe and am very happy with it.

Leupold 15-30 compact spotting scope

You can't go wrong with Leupold. I have the 10-50 olympics and they are great. Very clear and great in low light. Binoculars.com is a great place to buy optics, I got mine for $350 from them. My buddy has the 10-42 cascades and they are great also.
