Re: 3 or 4 blade broadhead?
I would advise against the Muzzy MX-4 just form personal experience. I could never get those heads to fly well. Now I admit that I'm not a master bow tuner and from what I hear you can shoot just about any broad head good from a well tuned bow. All I know is that I have tried the MX-4 with 2 bows an...

Re: ATTENTION: NEW OR STRUGGLING HUNTERS
This post was a great idea so I thought I would resurrect it. My buddy drew an archery antelope tag on the Plateau/Boulder unit and I am tagging along with him. Since it's opening weekend and I have a deer tag (and the fever real bad) I'm going to hunt deer. Anyone have any info on the deer in that ...

Re: Sleeping bag and tent
It's better to spend a little more money now instead of having gear laying around that you don't use I agree 100%. With backpacking gear I believe that you definitely get what you pay for. That doesn't mean just go an get the most expensive stuff you can find but sppending a little more really pays...

Re: Jackson Hole Trip
The Tetons are an awesome place. Great pics of Mt. Moran, the one from String Lake (right?) brings back some memories from Aug as we climbed it then and thats the starting point. What an adventure on an incredible mountain. Nice bull too! We saw quite a few elk as well but nothing like that one, we ...

Re: Burris Compact 12-24x50 spotting scope
Ok, so here is a quick review of the scope. I took it out a few days after I received it and I would hve to say that I like it. It is clear, easy to focus and very lightweight and compact. The eye releif is a little funky and somtimes it seems I cant quite get it just right. This could be due to the...

Finally! First Bull Elk
I was late getting to my spot as usual so I was glad to see only 1 truck parked nearby. I headed up the faint trail easily as it was light enough to see and after about 15 minutes of hiking I thought I heard a bugle so I stopped to listen. I was pretty sure I had imagined it or it was another hunter...
