Glad to hear from you, I've been waiting for your success stories. I knew I could count on you for some good stories and pictures. That is a mighty fine 4-point, sounds like you just missed the monster. Dang! That has to drive you crazy. I missed a 6x6 last year and still keep thinking about it. Tha...

Roadkill Problems?
I can't stand it when I come across roadkills, especially bucks like this nice 3-point. I heard rumor that a big 5x6 was killed on the highway last year in the same spot as this one? Anyway I don't like to see it.
Anyone have pictures or problems like this where you live?

To bad I didn't have a tag for Antelope. I ran into tons of hunters, got rained on quite a bit and was overall disappointed in the lack...

I agree that antler growth is the most effected. I don't think the deer had any disease, just undernourished and no fat reserves. Thus the reason for his ribs sticking out. These two bucks lived within roughly 10 miles of each other. I'm sure he got water (how much?), but not good healthy food. As f...

Dawgcountry, If your rifle hunting only, then you probably won't need any scents. The 7mm is definitely enough for deer and antelope. 243 will do the job also. And yep you can just leave the stand home, won't come in handy to much on a rifle hunt. As far as the call goes, you won't need any either. ...

Dawgcountry, Welcome aboard, good to have you join us. Glad to see and here from an Eastern primarily whitetail hunter. As far as Wyoming goes I'm not much help there, simply haven't hunting the state. But yes antelope are generally easier to spot and shoot. For the most part they roam in in open ar...
