So did any of you smokepolers have any luck on the opener yesterday??? My Dad went with a buddy and ran into alot of deer no shooters though. Just wondering what everyones luck had been like.

I don't know if anyone else ever found the score on this bull so I looked it up. The lastest thing I could find on the bull what this...
This bull is a 9x10 and green scores 449 gross and 436 net B&C as a non-typical. If this score holds up, he will be the new Washington State record elk.

Sounds like you know a good scope. My personl favorite is my Schmidt and Bender PM Marksman II 5-25 X 56. Its a Monster but it can take some amazing abuse as well and let you see a tic on a deers rump from a mile away.

No not strawberry but it is in the state . It is public land though and the area I will be hunting in a few weeks.

Here are some pics of a little 3 point my dad got pictures of opening morning of the Archery hunt. He didn't have a tag so he just pushed it into the trees off the side of the road. Hopefully he makes it another couple years and grow up a little.

Just curious have any of yall ever fly fished the river below the gorge? If not it is a great time and I would suggest giving it a try! No lunkers like that but if you use an ultra lite rod and find the right flies it is a blast.
