Elk eye candy
Hi again everyone. Its been awhile since I've been on this forum, but two kids and three moves later-I'm back. Thought I'd make my first post of a little eye candy for you elk hunters. This guy and his buddy (no good pics of the buddy) have spent most of the summer on a place we get to hunt. Hopeful...

Re: How do you clean your Taxidermy mounts?
I am not at all familiar with antelope, but I've has great luck with the waterless pet/horse sprays on deer/elk/bobcat and the like. Follow individual directions, but basically you spray on, let dry and brush off. I had several mounts in storage for a couple a years and when I brought them out I did...

He still out there!
Some of my latest pict show that the big guy is still out there. I hunted this draw where the tank is Wend morning, and didn't see him, but jumped some of the other deer I've been getting picts of. As the time on the picts shows I think he has gone pretty nocturnal. And just to show my camera isn't ...

Some nice muley picts
Ok, so I've been watching these bucks (a quite a few others, just putting the best ones on right now) for the past couple months. This is my horse water, located in a little tree/brushy draw between two wheat fields. I would really like to see the big one in the first pic. in the sights of my muzzle...

First Hard Horned Buck
Saw, or more correctly my trail camera caught a pict, of the first hard horned muley in the area last wend. If its the same buck I think it is he was still in velvet as of Monday. I'd really like his big buddy to be shed off by tomarrow (muzzeloader opener), but then again I'm not that picky when it...

Re: Coyote hunting with a shotgun
I can only think of a couple of stands in the last few years that I wished for a shotgun instead of my rifle. Usually I hunt in country open enough that I can see them comming a ways away, and have a chance to shoot the yote way before it is in shotgun range. Even the hard chargers meet with a .223....

Re: Callin Dogs?
Called in one with a lip squeak to ten feet while bow hunting for elk-gave him a pass for the experiance
Now that bow season is over I can get to calling proper, just got to line up a babysitter
