Battery life question

Post by DeadI » Fri May 21, 2010 2:53 pm

I have a camera that runs on a big 6 volt battery. It seems to work really well, has a good life span.

I am looking at a new camera but it runs on 6 D cell batteries. Do any of you guys use a camera that uses the D cells. How do they last?

DeadI, I have a Cuddyback Capture IR and it uses 4 D cell, and I think I've spent more on batteries than I did the camera. I ended up sending it back for repairs as the batteries only lasted for a week or so and would get maybe 6-8 pics and then die. I got it back about a month ago, and it works much better. I am currently using Energizer 2500 mAh rechargeables in it and they have been lasting about 3 weeks, I need to go get some Coppertops and see how they work, I'm sure they will be better.

I have one of the older cuddybacks that runs on six D cell batteries and the last between three to four weeks for me.

I have the Cuddyback Expert. It runs on 4 D cell batteries. I get 6 to 8 weeks on a set. The original battery compartment was a joke. I end up sending it in for the new and improved version and life is much better now. Sounds like I am more of the exception than the rule though. Hope that helps.
