Montana Elk

Post by waynedevore » Thu Jul 21, 2011 7:47 am

I have the general MT Elk license. I applied for one of the special permit areas.
620-20 and got the either sex rifle hunt.
6% draw odds, and only 60 permits. Many apply for this and won't draw in a lifetime. I sure didn't think I as a NR would ever draw. I had 8 bonus points.

Thanks, The scouting the planning and all the stuff leading up to the hunt will make for fun times. I know the area very well from my archery hunting days and I've done a lot of Muley hunting in the Missouri breaks country.

Congrats on the tag.

There's nothing wrong with a little luck now and then.

Will be sitting here waiting for updates.

It's nice to not read a post about "I drew a tag in an area I know nothing about, I didn't think I'd draw, tell me what I need to know to bag a monster". Congrats on drawing and good luck! Looking forward to some updates.
