Founder of P&Y Club Passes

Post by BOHNTR » Sun Sep 19, 2010 6:24 pm

A sad day in the bowhunting world.......the founder of the Pope & Young Club, Glenn St. Charles passed away. A true visionary man who was also an excellent archer and bowyer in his time. He will be missed.

Ed (Bowuntr), Dave and I with Mr. St. Charles at the 2007 P&Y convention in Lancaster, PA.

Sorry to hear about this.

It would have been really neat to talk to him and to listen to his adventures.

A sad day for bowhunters that is for sure. It's too bad all of the legends of archery are getting older and passing away. Pretty soon the only one I will have to idolize will be you Roy.

Sorry to hear, I used to go into his archery shop in Seattle quite often. He and his family all worked there and they are great people.

He will be missed.

Passing of an era. This happens throughout time, great men/women who made an impact going to their greater rewards.

From a George Jones song, "Who's gonna fill their shoes?"
It ain't the size of the gun but the placement of the bullet.
