my sons 1st find this year

Post by 500mag » Tue Mar 09, 2010 7:14 pm

so on firday my 6 year old son wanted to go out and find some sheds. so by the time i got done with work the clouds were not looking good but he said if it rains a little then its ok we can still look and if it gets bad then we can just get in the truck. so we went out and just about the time we got up where i wanted to start it started to snow and the wind came up but we both wanted to look. as we were going up a spot i told him there was a dead deer just up a head we would look at and as we got a little closer he started to yell antler antler antler i said no its just a deer and he said no look there and there it was a nice 2pt. so we picked it up then the weather hit hard hail, snow, rain, and wind so we got down as fast as we could but we were soo wet lol. But he still wants to go back but when the sun is out. so he did it to me again last year on his 1st trip he seen one be4 i did.

Very cool. I had a similar experience this year. The first antler of the year for us was found by my 8 year old. We were driving to a sheddin spot when he started yelling dad go back go back, I saw a three poit antler. It has a 15 inch back tine. First of the year was found by my boy. The camera is broke. I'll be buying a new one soon and then post up a pic.
